Glambnb is the very first European platform entirely dedicated to glamping
Glambnb operates in the sector of glamour camping (glamping) with the aim of fostering and facilitating the creation of new structures and gathering all the existing ones. Thanks to this platform, tourists will be given the opportunity to find and book exclusive locations surrounded by beautiful scenery: luxury meets comfort in total respect of the environment.
Glambnb has one goal: to become the leader in the european glamping sector. In fact, although this trend is experiencing a constant growth, the majority of structures designed for this activity are not well advertised or located in crowded holiday villages. Furthermore, a great number of landowners is not yet aware of this great business opportunity.
It is for this reason that Glambnb has contacted 50 landowners who are already involved in the agritourism sector, to invest into glamping. The startup has successfully signed agreements with 50 Italian luxury campsites and 10 European ones. In addition, Glambnb identified its target and, in a period of just two months, it obtained its first 8 customers. It also managed to develop and launch the beta version of the platform. Glambnb is determined to gain the remaining 3/4 of Italian glamping by April 2018, for a total of 225 by 2018. From May on, the startup plans to implement the Italian glamping offer by acquiring new structures with exclusive contracts. Within the first year, the focus will have shifted to the European continent with the intention of acquiring around 125 partners, especially in Spain, France and England.
How it works
Through its portal, Glambnb gives tourists the chance of finding luxury sites most suitable for their specific needs. On the other hand, the startup will encourage landowners to create new glamping sites. They will also benefit from discounts for the purchase of tents, treehouses, chalets and similar facilities from the companies that have made partnerships with the startup. However, Glambnb does not stop here. As a matter of fact, it provides free assistance for bureaucratic paperwork, detailed guides with best-practices to better present their facilities, allowing tourists to live the best possible experiences and finally, advertises customers’ accommodations.
Strategy and Partners
The finalist of the CLab Fifth Edition benefits from exclusive agreements to safeguard its glamping services. Furthermore, its aim is to reach the entire continent through significant resource investments in marketing strategies, while protecting this very exclusive market. For each reservation received, Glambnb earns a commission of 15% on the total amount. The cost is to be charged by the owner of the structure. The latter will sign an exclusive contract for the sponsorship of the accommodation for a period not lower than 18 months.
Glambnb has concluded agreements with Sprech, a world leader company specialised in production, fitting out, rental and sale of tensile structures, modular canopies and gazebos. Other two important agreements were signed: one with Sardinia Co-hosting, an agency specialised in the creation of short-term rental offer, and the other one with Base Architettura, which offers consultancy service specifically with regards to the concept design’s standpoint.
