“The role of entrepreneurial cities” meeting is scheduled to take place at CREA UniCa

As the winner of the 2017 edition of Cities Challenge Italy, Cagliari will host “The role of the entrepreneurial cities” on the 15th February. This meeting, which will involve all citizens, entrepreneurs and the local government, will occur at CREA UniCa – The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Cagliari , via Ospedale 121. The event is scheduled to start at 3.00 p.m. and finish at 7.00 p.m.

Cities Challenge Italy is a national initiative, promoted by Meta Group, that allows cities to give value both to what they already achieved and to what they planned for the future, in terms of entrepreneurship and innovation. The meeting on February 15th is promoted by META Group and organized in collaboration with Maria Chiara di Guardo for the University of Cagliari and Mario Mariani for The Net Value.

Culture, sport, circular economy, hospitality and security

These subjects will be at the heart of the entrepreneurs‘s speeches. Besides this, they will also talk about their experience with the city and the territory. From 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m., city council referents will talk about the initiatives dealing with the creation of the ecosystem. Finally, the participants will make some considerations at the end of the meeting. The event will involve:

These personalities want to share their experience with the citizens to spread entrepreneurship in the urban environment and find together common actions towards linking the city with national and external hubs.

Cagliari won the first edition of Cities Challenge Italy

Because  the first edition of CCI, the city of Cagliari got the opportunity to take part in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC). The gala event took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on March 2017. Among the guests were several worldwide exponents of the entrepreneurship and innovation field, coming from over 160 Countries, such as Victor Hwang, Vice President of Entrepreneurship, Kauffman Foundationm and Jeff Hoffman, co-founder of Priceline.com.

The winning city will also attend an involvement program about innovation in strategic territories, addressed to citizens and businesses. In partenerships with the University of Cagliari and The Net Value, this program aims at making citizens and enterprises realize the importance of being a hub in a network, innovating and linking international realities.
