Bxtar and NeeoT took part in the pre-acceleration programme held by the American multinational firm and Luiss EnLabs. A huge result for the Contamination Lab of the University of Cagliari. CLab’s final chapter on February 24, at the Teatro Massimo.
International scenarios. Two startups born inside the CLab are shining on the international stage. Bxtar (#03 Edition CLab UniCa) and NeeoT (#04 Edition CLab UniCa) have been selected in order to join the pre-accelerator Android Factory 4.0, by Google and Luiss EnLabs.
Innovation Made In Sardinia. Another great achievement for the Contamination Lab, led by Annalisa Bonfiglio (Vice Rector) and Maria Chiara Di Guardo (scientific director CLab UniCa and director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship).
Stars. Bxtar is a smart rear light that addresses the needs of urban cyclists. The integrated system consists of side and rear lights, light sensorsm accelerometer and dedicated app. It makes cyclists more visible, particularly in low-light conditions, when breaking or turning. The team is composed by Simone Scalas (mathematics), Alberto Unali (electric and electronic engineering), Mirko Podda (economics) and Michela Mari (law). Neeot is a system that collects and analyses data coming from sensors displaced on a given area in real time. It implements an IoT communication network that requires a minimal infrastructure, but allows broad coverage wit low consumptions. The group: Nicola Aldo Cabras (economics), Chiara Cocco (grad student in civil engineering), Renato Caboni (master in embedded system for IoT) and Federico Corona (computer science).
COUNTDOWN FOR THE FINAL CHAPTER. Friday, February 24, 3.00pm. The time is set for the final event of the #04 edition of the Contamination Lab of The University of Cagliari. The finale, at its fourth edition, is being regarded as a top-notch event. It compares innovative business ideas from students and graduates, but also lets them meet investors, entrepreneurs, experts and stakeholders. The final chapter of this course will be held in the Teatro Massimo, thanks to the partnership with Sardegna Teatro.
Jury and companies. Alessandro Fusacchia (Minister of University and Research) coordinates the final event. The jury is composed of investors, journalists, stakeholders and multinational firms. Among them, Peter Kruger (StartupBootCamp), Enrico Mattiazzi (United ventures), Jari Ognibeni (Industrio), Anna Amati (Meta Group), Lorenzo di Donato (Fluorsid), Oozi Cats (Telit communications), Giovanna Roversi (Audience marketing manager – Microsoft), Nava Swersky (Sofer director, IDCBeyond).
